A planning application to refurbish Sandown Bay Holiday Centre at Yaverland and build 10 new chalets has been submitted to the Isle of Wight Council.
Applicants Moor Construction Ltd are seeking approval to partially demolish the site’s disused entertainments block, as well as refurbishing toilet facilities and the ‘Barrack’ building – to include a restaurant, bar, café, shop, launderette and similar facilities.
Associated decking/seating/terracing, landscaping and car parking is also included within the planning application.
Furthermore, plans are afoot to construct 10 new holiday chalets, a children’s’ play area and a 3-bed management accommodation building.
