St Saviour’s Catholic Church in Totland will host a fundraising concert next week, the proceeds of which will go towards the installation of a new stained glass window.
August next year will mark the centenary since the first Mass was said at St. Saviour’s Catholic Church, Totland Bay, and their congregation has chosen a stained glass window to be installed to commemorate this special occasion.
On Sunday 13th August, the well-known Phoenix choir will be singing a collection of easy-listening songs from films and musicals in their repertoire and the programme will include ‘My Heart Will Go On’ (Titanic), ‘Love Changes Everything’ (Aspects Of Love), ‘The Nun’s Chorus’ (Casanova), ‘Memory’ (Cats), as well as songs from Les Miserables, Abba and Elvis Presley amongst others.
Admission to the concert – which starts at 19:30 – will be free, however, there will be a retiring collection.

I can’t see why they’d bother. Surly the lord will provide?
