A brand new independent living complex could soon be built on the site of the former Green Meadows Care Home on Colwell Road in Freshwater.
Planning permission is being sought by Morgan Ashley Care Developments to erect a new building consisting of 75 care units with associated residents facilities, car parking and landscaping.
The 75 individual units would consist of 106 bedrooms with parking available for 35 cars and 20 bicycles.
The complex would boast a dining area, a social gathering space, a multi-use environment and a salon.
25 new jobs could be created if the development goes ahead.
