4 of the Isle of Wight’s most popular holiday parks have received a major investment for 2020 with more than £1.7million of spending announced to install new lodges, replace the old fleet with brand new caravans and upgrade arcade facilities.
Parkdean Resorts operates Landguard and Lower Hyde, both in Shanklin, Nodes Point near St Helens and Thorness Bay near Cowes. As part of the £1.7million investment, there will be brand new lodges installed at Nodes Point, more than 50 brand new caravans across the other 3 sites and improvements to the arcade facilities at Thorness Bay.
The company employs more than 400 staff across the Island in season, and the parks are currently hiring for a number of seasonal roles across sales, food and beverage, and housekeeping. Anybody interested in applying for a job should visit the relevant park’s Facebook page or phone them directly.

Nice to here I’m an islander that stays there in October half term . Must admit arcade and pool area at lower Hyde were looking a bit tired .
Thorness bay has the most full time residents that don’t pay council tax will they now be kicked off now
NOT TRUE park dean very firm and check all owners for community charge receipts lot of retired people who spent time at park but have houses on island and pay all charges at house and park
Sorry mate, no full time residents at Throness Bay, have to supply council tax bill of main residence each year.
They will as holiday lets come first in any big holiday business they will run out of pitches then start kicking off owners to sell out holidays on theres. They do not actually care about the people money money money to them. SSDD
Certain to only gain in demand as the world grows unbearably hot, and the Island become an attractive destination to holiday once more. Hot tubs ensure a longer season too.
As more extremists keep people away from Turkey, Egypt etc, then Wight could be even more desirable.
