Isle of Wight Division 2 side Osborne Coburg have made 8 strong new signings ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Many of the signings have come from Pan Community, who have sadly dropped out of Island League football. The new/resignings from Pan include: Mark Taylor, Jack Davies and Joe and Sam Williams. The Burg have also poached a couple of footballers from fellow 2nd Division club Wootton: Liam Sumpter and Harry Green.
Former Cowes Sports keeper Jamie Linington, who spent last season with Shanklin’s double-winning side, has rejoined Osborne Coburg. Jamie can play both as a goalkeeper and an outfield player.
Finally, Adam Cantelo has crossed Park Road to sign for the Burg from Northwood St Johns.
The former Newport and Cowes Sports midfielder and forward Mark Taylor is the most well-known player to sign for Osborne Coburg.

“Extremely excited to confirm Mark Taylor will be donning the Coburg shirt this season. Mark is up there with one of the best footballers on the Island and is a real coup for the club. This signing cements a really solid squad to push on all fronts this season.”
Osborne Coburg have written of the signing of Liam Sumpter from Wootton:

The Burg say of the signing of Jack Davies:

“Another player who has plenty of experience already at a young age. Offers pace, athleticism and a variety of options to the team.”
Osborne Coburg have said of the signing of Jamie Linington:

“Fresh from a fantastic season for Shanklin, Jamie returns to the mighty Burg. Offers a variety of options to the team with some great techniques.”
The Burg commented on the signing of Adam Cantello:

“Most of Island football will know the quality and experience Adam has, plenty of goals and an insane touch.”
Osborne Coburg have said on the signing of Joe and Sam Williams:

“We are super-excited to announce the signings of both Joe and Sam Williams. These guys are top players, plenty of silverware already in the locker and looking to add more.”
Finally, the Burg commented on the signing of Harry Green:
