The Orpheus Singers are set to tour the Isle of Wight from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June.
The Orpheus Singers Ladies Choir hails from Hadleigh, near Southend on Sea in Essex. They will be entertaining audiences with their eclectic mix of songs – from pop to classic, spiritual to folk, jazz to songs from stage and screen.
It has been a pleasure for the choir to have performed for various charities since it was formed in 2008. The considerable funds raised have benefitted a diverse number of local, national and international charitable organisations.
45 ladies will be singing at All Saints Church in Ryde on the Friday evening and staging a concert at The Medina Theatre in Newport on Saturday 31st May. You may even catch them singing in the grounds of Osborne House on Sunday 1st June!

Leading the choir will be Musical Director David Clark together with Accompanist Janet Walker. Elizabeth Dunlop the choir’s Deputy Musical Director is an experienced concert soloist and she will be entertaining the Isle of Wight audiences in the solo spots with a selection of songs from her repertoire, including ‘Vilia’ from The Merry Widow and ‘Poor Wandering One’ from the Pirates of Penzance.
