Blackgang Chine are set to launch an incredible new competition, open to all Isle of Wight KS3 classes.
Local students could win an end of the year trip like no other! The Land of Imagination Schools Challenge has now begun and asks Island students in Years 7 – 9 to come up with a creative idea and subject matter for the park’s next imaginative land or interactive area.
Students are being asked to acknowledge any (or all) key elements of their learning such as creative design, engineering, mathematics, technology, performing arts and more!
Alexander Dabell, Owner and Managing Director of Blackgang Chine, says:
“We want to engage pupils across the Island and allow them the opportunity to explore their own imagination and creativity whilst working together on a project that supports their on-going learning in school. And what better way to get creative than to design a one-of-a-kind land of imagination?”
The team at Blackgang Chine are dedicated to facilitating and encouraging the creativity of the Isle of Wight’s young people. The more original, adventurous and eccentric the idea, the better!
The prize up for grabs is a one-of-a-kind, behind the scenes tour of the park, tailored specifically to the winning class; based on their interests and learning objectives. As well as an introduction to the park from the management team and a full day’s access, the students could benefit from insider industry knowledge in areas such as customer journey, technology, food & beverage, customer service, marketing or entertainment.
