25-year-old Olly Fry is to bring his family friendly puppet show ‘The Just-So Grandad’ to Ventnor Winter Gardens on Thursday (10th August).
The Isle of Wight theatre maker has developed an hour-long puppet show about ageism and trying to re-connect with an elderly relative. The performance uses Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Just-So’ stories as a backdrop and the audience journeys through childhood watching how modern life can break apart familial ties and sway opinion against the aged.
The style is fun and warm with a love of nostalgia.
Tickets are £8 (2-for-1 Fringe Friends Deal is active) and can be bought via the Ventnor Exchange at 11 Church St, Ventnor or online at https://vfringe.ventnorexchange.co.uk/whatson/the-just-so-grandad/.
