Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Older Drivers Forum will be running an awareness week from Monday 28th September to Saturday 3rd October 2015.
The Forum will visit six different venues across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight with its partners. The 2015 events will be open between 09:30-15:00 for people to just pop in at any time throughout the day, it is FREE and visitors don’t need to book .
The Island’s forum will be held on Thursday 1st October at St Thomas’s Square and Newport Minster.
Each day’s aim is to help you stay on the road safely for longer. The forum will give advice on:
• Brushing up your skills
• Booking a driving assessment
• Arranging a regular eyesight test
• Getting advice on health and well being issues that could affect your driving ability
• Renewing your licence at 70
• Learn more about road safety and the consequences of not being fit to drive
• Discover alternatives to driving and staying independent without a car
