Local 6-a-side football provider Leisure Leagues have decided to actively support the next generation of stars by sponsoring local youth football team, Oakfield Hawks.
The Under-7 Oakfield Hawks side play and train at Ryde Academy, 1 of the venues used on a weekly basis by Leisure Leagues for their community 6-a-side football leagues. The young Oakfield side have made a fantastic start to their football journey and remain unbeaten after 11 games of the season but, most importantly, they are building confidence and friendships through football.
Grassroots football needs a lot of support, so having a local football company put a bit back into the game’s future is of great importance. Leisure Leagues provide competitive, amateur football to teams of mixed abilities across the Island, with leagues running 4 nights a week at Cowes Enterprise College, Queensgate, Sandown Bay and Ryde Academy.
