Over 500 people are set to lace up their running shoes this weekend as they take part in a fun run in celebration of Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s 35th anniversary.
Held on Saturday 17th June 2017, Osborne Run is a 5k or 3k course that starts and finishes in front of the home so loved by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
The non-competitive fun run is open to all ages and abilities, and will take in areas of the grounds including the beach, Swiss Cottage and quieter areas of the estate not usually frequented by visitors.
All finishers will receive a special anniversary medal.
A strictly limited number of on-the-day registrations will be available on a first come, first served basis. Registrations open on the day at 09:30 at a cost of £20 per adult, £10 per child, or £50 per family group (2 adults and 2 children). All funds raised go towards supporting Islanders and their families when they need it most.
Anyone taking part can find out more by visiting www.iwhospice.org and searching ‘Osborne Run’ for details of parking, registration, event timings and a route map.
Spectators will receive 20% off normal Osborne admission prices.
