Northwood recorded their 1st win of the season by overcoming Binstead at Cowes Community Club by the best of 7 goals on Saturday (14th September).
Connor Mooney scored the opening goal for Northwood from the penalty spot in the 8th minute, and George Holmes added a 2nd goal for the home side to lead 2-0 at half time.
Binstead came back strongly in the 2nd half with Jamie Dyer bagging a hat trick for the visitors. However, further strikes from Connor Mooney and Lewis Blackmore ensured victory for Northwood.

Ventnor 3-1 Shanklin
Ventnor have returned to the top of Harwoods Division 1 on goal difference from W&B by beating Shanklin 3-1 at Watcombe Bottom. The scorers for Ventnor were Emerson Tattersall, Harry Mulholland and Kyle Drew. Prolific Ventnor captain Tattersall has now bagged 14 goals in the 6 games he has played in the season to date. Defeat for Shanklin saw the Blues lose their 100% record in the league. Their consolation came courtesy of Josh Field.
West Wight 4-3 Cowes Sports Reserves
West Wight have moved up to 4th place in Harwoods Division 1 with a 2nd successive league win at Camp Road. Max Foreman bagged a brace for the home side with Luke Foreman also on target. Aiden Jones ensured victory for West Wight with a late goal in the final minute of the game.

Niton 3-2 Ryde Saints
Niton are the early leaders in the 2nd Division after narrowly beating Ryde Saints at Springhead. Victory for Niton came courtesy of goals from Cruz Wragg, Jordan Fowkes and a Liam Blythe penalty.
Newport Reserves 3-8 Oakfield
Oakfield are 2nd in the Division 2 table after a remarkable win over Newport Reserves at Seaclose. The opening goal came from Newport with Cian McGee equalizing for the Oakers to leave the scores level at half time. McGee went on to score 2 further 2nd half goals to bag his hat trick with Sid Roberts also grabbing a hat trick for the away side. The remaining 2 Oakfield goals came courtesy of father and son Ricky and Tyler Larbalester. Unavailability of players forced Newport manager Stewart Shepherd to take over goalkeeping duties for the afternoon.
Newchurch 0-4 East Cowes Sports
ECS have gone 4th in the Division 2 table by beating Newchurch at Watery Lane thanks to a Joshua Richardson hat trick and a further goal from Gary Richardson.
In the Challenge Cup…
Brading Town 2-1 Vectis
The Romans advanced to the next round of the Challenge Cup by vanquishing Vectis at Vicarage Lane. Aaron Bennett and Dan Vale were on target for the home side with Harry Furness grabbing the visitors’ consolation goal.
W&B Sports 3-3 Osborne Coburg W&B won on penalties
Challenge Cup holders W&B are through to the next round after beating Osborne Coburg on penalties. Kade Woodford, Sam Yelland and Harry Ovnik scored for Whitecroft & Barton with Harry Green bagging a brace for the visitors, the remaining goal for the away side coming from Charlie Panayi.
