A series of public forums designed for the over 50s and run by ‘Age Friendly Island’ will be taking place across the Island over the next 2 months.

The agenda for this round of meetings will focus on the work to redesign Acute (hospital based) Services – part of the ongoing work to implement the My Life a Full Life new model of care on the Island.

The forums will be an opportunity to take part in a workshop to contribute to the discussions about the redesign of acute (hospital based) services to ensure that they provide safe, accessible quality care for Island residents that is both affordable and sustainable. These services include: Acute medicine, Urology, Anaesthetics, ENT (ear, nose and throat surgery), Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Radiology, General Surgery, Specialist Medicine, Ophthalmology and Haematology.
