Newton Faulkner is returning to Strings Bar & Venue in Newport this October as part of his Octopus Tour.
The popular singer-songwriter currently holds the record for the fastest-ever selling show at the venue, with tickets selling out in just 15 minutes earlier this year. He is set to perform on Saturday (11th October), playing tracks from his new album ‘Octopus’ alongside some fan favourites.
Announcing the Isle of Wight date on social media, Newton Faulkner said:
“I’m coming back to the Isle of Wight on Saturday 11th October.
“I had such a great time at Strings Bar & Venue last time that I had to include it on the Octopus Tour. I’ll be playing songs from the new album Octopus plus plenty of old favourites and can’t wait to see you all again!”
Faulkner’s new album marks a distinct shift in sound, described as louder, more energetic and emotionally charged. The lead single, ‘Alright, Alright, Alright’, features distorted Hofner Violin Bass rather than his trademark acoustic guitar – reflecting a bold evolution in his creative process.
Strings Bar & Venue co-owner Andy Booth commented:
“We are so excited that Newton has chosen to return to Strings as part of his new album tour.
“He has got some iconic songs and I’m sure his new material is going to be just as good so we can’t wait to witness this once again.”
Tickets for the concert will be available via a pre-sale on Wednesday (23rd July) at 10:00 exclusively through the Strings Bar & Venue App, which can be downloaded from all major app stores.
General sale will follow on Friday (25th July) from 10:00 via both the app and the venue’s website.
