From 2nd August, Natwest will be changing the opening hours of their Shanklin branch which will soon close at 14:30 each day.
The reduced opening times are as a result of customers increasingly using alternative ways to bank, such as online and mobile banking. Branch transactions have fallen 46% since 2010 whilst online and mobile transactions have grown by 400%. Only 9% of their total transactions are now undertaken in branches compared to 25% in 2010.
The branch will open an hour later and shut an hour earlier. The new opening hours will be:
• Monday – 10:30 to 14:30
• Tuesday – 10:30 to 14:30
• Wednesday – 10:30 to 14:30
• Thursday – 10:30 to 14:30
• Friday – 10:30 to 14:30
• Saturday – Closed
• Sunday – Closed
Natwest’s cash machine availability will remain the same, for customers to get cash, check their balance, transfer money and use other payment options free of charge.
Between now and the change, Natwest will be engaging with customers, local businesses and the local community to make sure they are aware of the alternative ways of accessing their banking in the local area, and to answer any questions they might have.
