East Cowes Victoria have reached the quarter finals of the Velocity Wessex League Cup by beating Verwood Town at Potterne Park in Dorset.
The Victorians took the lead in the 17th minute through none other than Scott Jones, who knocked a deflected ball home from range (0-1).
Aga-In came close to equalising for the home side with a shot from the edge of the penalty area that rebounded off the crossbar.

To their credit, the Potters battled back with Bentley dancing through the Victorians defence before burying the ball in the bottom corner (1-3).
A Fletcher header reduced the deficit for the home side to a single goal with 2 minutes of full time remaining (2-3), but Vics held out to reach the final 8 of the competition.
