Sara Truckel and Tamara Purves, the team behind the popular ‘I Love Wight’ markets at the Garlic Farm, have joined forces with Rectory Mansion in Brading to bring a new venture to the Island to promote Isle of Wight businesses; the ‘I Love Wight Food Market’.
The I Love Wight Food Market will run on the last Saturday of each month in the main car park in Brading creating a mix of street food and farmer’s market. Sara and Tamara aim to make these markets a destination event for local food and drink.
It’s the aim of the entrepreneurial duo to bring together the many small food businesses on the Isle of Wight, from cakes and fudge, to chutneys, beers, wines and spirits, fresh fruit and vegetables, including some delicious vegan and gluten free options.
Sara and Tamara set up the ‘I Love Wight’ markets 7 years ago out of a desire to see local handcraft presented and promoted professionally. They wanted to showcase the best of the Isle of Wight’s businesses from those with commercial products and outstanding merchandising. The pair select a wide variety of stalls and invite only exhibitors who live and work on the Isle of Wight.
The I Love Wight Food Market starts on Saturday 25th March and will be open from 09:30-14:00 on the last Saturday of the month there after up until 28th October (weather permitting).
