Island band Nakamarra are set to release their brand new record ‘Glitter & Mess’ on Chalkpit Records.

Nakamarra recently established themselves as a band to look out for in 2017, with stand out performances on the Main Stage at Isle of Wight Festival 2017 and a headline slot at Bestival 2017 this summer. They have proven that they have the capability to win a crowd with their infectious Indie vibes.

This Friday (29th September), the band’s brand new EP will be released at Strings Bar & Venue, Newport during a special end of Summer show with support from Southampton’s Electronic duo ‘Uhuru’ and youthful Indie Rock band ‘Coyote Jungle’.

Charlie Jones from Nakamarra said:

“The song ‘Glitter and Mess’, which features on the six track EP, is about the emotions and experiences of the festival season and so we thought what better way to tie ours up – by launching it at the very end of a festival-filled summer!

“It’s a incredible feeling – the build up to a release and after the success with our first EP ‘Zacapa’ we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been doing and how our music has hopefully grown with us as a band”.

The launch show will be the last chance to see the band on the Island for a while as they plan to take some time out from gigging to work on new material.

Advance Tickets for the show can be bought online for £5 at, or alternatively on the night for £6.
