After almost 8 years, Parkrun Medina IOW is reaching the incredible milestone of 400 runs – and organisers are inviting past, present and future runners to join them for an celebratory event on Saturday 16th March.

Each Saturday, dozens of runners put on their shoes and head for the banks of the River Medina to take part in Parkrun. Parkrun offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and get physically active.

The set course covers 5km and incorporates Seaclose Park and Medina’s sports fields. The run is an inclusive, welcoming event that is open to novices and seasoned athletes alike.

The current record for the most runners at a single event is 400, but organisers want to beat – or at least match – that for the special 400th run on Saturday 16th March.
