MasterChef 2016 Champion, Jane Devonshire, will be showing off her award winning culinary skills for viewers at Cowes Christmas Festival’s interactive cookery theatre and audience members will even have a chance to taste some of her delectable dishes.
The free event, produced and funded by Red Funnel, will bring the best of local food, drink and crafts together at Cowes Yacht Haven’s events centre on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th December.
Visitors can learn to cook delicious festive dishes by watching live cookery demonstrations from talented local chefs, including Jane.
Jane was crowned the 2016 MasterChef champion after battling her way through 40 other contestants to prove herself the best in the kitchen, all on national television. A stay-at-home mum from Hampshire, her culinary skills come from cooking hearty home cooked meals for her children and extended family. Following her win, Jane has aspirations to become a chef or even to open up her own culinary school.

“Living in Hampshire, I am incredibly excited to be involved with such a great culinary event close to home. I am always keen to feature local produce in my dishes and it will be great to showcase that at the cookery theatre.”

Cowes Christmas festival will also offer a range of activities for visitors to get into the festive spirit. Over 60 Isle of Wight food, drink, arts and crafts stalls will be exhibiting to help you find the perfect Christmas present and children can visit Father Christmas at his grotto. There will also be live music and free children’s crafts provided by The Creation Station.
For those on the mainland, Red Funnel will be offering a special 2 for £13 deal on its Red Jet fast ferry service, making sure that it’s easy for everyone to join in on the festive fun.
