MAN ARRESTED AFTER JEWELLERY STOLEN FROM NETTLESTONE HOME

hampshireconstabularylogoPolice are appealing for witnesses after small jewellery items were stolen in a daylight burglary in Nettlestone near Ryde earlier this week.

At around 11:45 on Tuesday (18th October), a man broke into a house on Glynn Close in Nettlestone. The man was disturbed by the occupants of the property and ran from the scene.

A neck chain and a gold ring with a black onyx centre have since been reported missing.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw a man acting suspiciously in the area.

Detective Constable Gillian Harvey said:

“This offence happened during daylight hours, and there may have been people around who saw something.

“We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at this time to contact police immediately.”

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until 15th December.
