The main road between Rookley and Godshill is set to re-open this lunchtime (Friday) following strengthening works at Bow Bridge.
Motorists travelling to or through Godshill on a daily basis have been disrupted over the past few weeks by work to strengthen Bow Bridge on the outskirts of the village.
Island Roads have confirmed that, despite poor recent weather, the work is ahead of schedule.
With resurfacing completed yesterday, the final touches are being carried out this morning with the hope of re-opening the road to all traffic at lunchtime.
The PFI contractor have thanked Islanders for their co-operation during these works.

Ahead of schedule as the deliberately ‘give’ a longer than expected time span initially. SEE life how it is.
This Welcome to Godshill is in the wrong place .Needs to be opposite Yard farm as our properties are the start of Godshill.
