A number of Isle of Wight properties and a plot of land have sold through the latest Clive Emson auction.
They were among 170 lots on sale by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson in the first of 8 auctions by the independent firm this year.
A freehold mixed-use property at 7 Cross Street, Ryde, comprising 4 storeys and currently let at £13,920, fetched £131,000.
Currently let at £8,500 per annum, a 3-storey building at 31 Cross Street, Ryde, sold prior to the auction and comprises a ground floor shop with open plan upper floors. The freehold guide price was £140,000-150,000.
Also in Ryde, a 3-bedroom semi-detached house at 8 Benett Street went for £139,000 freehold, £34,000 above estimate.
A 1-bedroom leasehold holiday apartment at Saltbox B2, West Bay Club, Yarmouth fetched £9,500 off a nil reserve.
Largely comprising grazing land, nearly 8.5 acres at Barrack Shute, Niton, sold beforehand. It had a freehold guide price of £75,000+.
In Ventnor’s town centre, at 2 Pier Street, a 4-storey commercial and residential investment, also sold prior to the auction. It was guided freehold at £140,000-160,000.
Available for post-auction sale:
- The Mount at Totland Bay, a 4-bedroom house with an adjoining 2-bedroom cottage, with stunning views of the Solent. It was guided freehold at £550,000-560,000.
- 10-11 High Street, Cowes, is a mixed investment comprising retail space and a pair of 2-bedroom flats. It was guided freehold at £300,000+.
- 1 Fort Street, Sandown, a 4-bedroom mid-terrace house, was guided freehold at £100,000+.
