The magical Long Lane Christmas Lights display in Newport will be lighting up for all to see this coming Saturday (1st December 2018).
Terry and Sue Ramplin have been switching on their display at 68 Long Lane for almost 2 decades now and in the past 4 years alone have raised a staggering £17,000 for charity.
This year the display will be held in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Daisy Chains IW.
The official switch on will take place at 18:00 on Saturday 1st December 2018 with entertainment by The Wight Strollers getting underway from 17:45. Visitors can expect to be surrounded by the festive spirit and the occasional blast of snow!
Terry has been spending most days since October sorting, fixing, arranging and hanging up the lights. Terry will be outside welcoming visitors every evening in the run-up to Christmas.
Long Lane is once again the Star Display of this year’s Light up the Wight competition, brought to you by Island Echo and Southern Vectis! From 3rd December you will be able to download a very special map detailing where you can find the best Christmas Lights displays on the Isle of Wight.
Find the map and vote for your favourite from Monday at www.islandecho.co.uk/xmas.

Returning on the 3rd December!
