The Bexley Phoenix Choir from South East London is set to tour the Isle of Wight for the first time next month, performing at 4 different locations across 3 days.
The choir is largely made up of members in their mid to late 20s who performed with the Bexley Youth Choir under the leadership of John MacKenzie, who retired in 2007 and went on to found the Bexley Phoenix Choir. The choir aims to perform a wide range of different types of music, from early sacred and secular works, through the Classical and Romantic periods to folk, gospel and popular songs.
A number of free performances are to be held across 3 days with donations or a retiring collection.
• Shanklin Methodist Church – Thursday 11th August at 19:30

• St Nicholas, Carisbrooke Castle – Saturday 13th August at 14:30
