Island-based Chalkpit Records and Red Squirrel Productions are to present a partnership show with ‘The Lion & The Wolf’ on Friday 14th October.
The special headline show in their hometown of Ventnor, at St Catherine’s Church, is in support of the anticipated release of the second album ‘The Cardiac
Hotel’.
Thomas George, the curator of The Lion & The Wolf said:
“I’m really excited to house my release show at St Catherine’s Church. It seems such a long time ago that I was playing as a three piece at The Exchange in Ventnor to release my first record, and now to perform full band in a beautiful church is something I’m really looking forward to.
“We will be performing some old songs as well as plenty from the new album. There will be records, CD’s and plenty of merchandise for sale, and I’m hoping the community comes out to support, as it’s our farewell show before heading to Europe a week later.”
The band will be heading off on their 10 date European tour through Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands, starting in Wiesbaden, Germany on 21st October.
The release show will be the first chance to see The Lion & The Wolf perform songs off the new album, ’The Cardiac Hotel’, to a captivating home audience in the beautiful surroundings of St Catherine’s Church, Ventnor.
Silas Gregory from Chalkpit Records said:
“We are really pleased to have be asked to team up with The Lion & The Wolf to deliver a very special show to the people on the Isle Of Wight. The venue is fantastic. If you haven’t seen live music in the walls of a church, then you’re in for a treat.
“The Lion & The Wolf is a very exciting artist from the Isle and deserves a warm send off before him and his band leave for their tour in Europe”.
Tickets for the show can be purchased online or in store at The Ventnor Exchange for £5.00, or alternatively, can be purchased at the church on the night for £6.00.
