Organisers of the inaugural Great Wonderfest festival have announced that they have been granted their licence by the Isle of Wight Council.

The decision was made following a meeting of the licence sub-committee today (Tuesday).

The event, fronted by TV’s Dick & Dom, is due to take place at Duxmore Farm near Downend at the start of August.

A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Council has confirmed:

“We are pleased to announce the Great Wonderfest has been granted their license. All outstanding points have now been resolved and conditions have been agreed with the responsible authorities. We are looking forward to this exciting new event taking place this summer.”

Organisers of The Great Wonderfest have said:

“We are delighted to confirm our license has been granted. We have been working very closely with the local authorities and plans are in full swing to deliver a great summer Wonderfest!

“We are committed to delivering a premium event to the island with top class entertainment, great facilities and a long term vision to make this a huge success for the Isle of Wight.”
