Midfielder Liam Triggs has left Cowes Sports to join East Cowes Vics, it has been announced this evening (Friday).
Liam has spent just 1 season with the Yachtsmen, joining from Newport last summer.
Vics’ new signing is an extremely versatile player; a spokesperson for East Cowes Victoria has said:
“Triggsy can play anywhere; he’s a class midfielder, but can play centre half, left or right back and even number10.”
East Cowes Victoria’s manager, Alex Smith, commented:
“‘Liam is one of the very few players on the Island, who absolutely ticks both the most important boxes for me; he both significantly improves the squad, and is a positive, ambitious character that fits our group perfectly.
“I’m very much looking forward to working with one of the very best.”
