A last minute beach clean has been organised by the Isle of Wight Beach Cleaning Volunteers at Yaverland tomorrow afternoon (Friday), ahead of another Campfire Session at Browns.
The volunteer group will meet at the far end of Yaverland Car Park at 14:45 before making their way up to the base of Culver Cliff, then back towards Sandown finishing opposite the old Grand Hotel at around 16:30. Volunteers will then be invited to make their way to Browns Golf for a free hot drink.
Everyone – including those who haven’t beach cleaned – is then welcome to enjoy the Campfire Session afterwards at 17:00, which is a no thrills, no spills, good old fashioned get together. You can expect pit fires, a fully licensed bar, hot food and live acoustic music from Mark Fennell; Amber Lilly; Spike Oatley and Brian Sharpe.
More information about the campfire session can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/915538288563558/.
Bags and gloves for the beach clean are provided, however if you have your own re-useable gloves then you are encouraged to take them along to reduce waste.
