Those who would like to take part in this year’s Rainbow Run are being asked to sign up with only a few more days until the popular fundraising event takes place.
With the weather set to be good, there are just a few days left to sign up for the Rainbow Run – Bubble Fun 2022 – which takes place this Sunday 10th July at Northwood’s Isle of Wight County Showground.
Now in its 4th year, the 3km family fun run is Wessex Cancer Trust’s biggest annual fundraiser and features a fun-filled course of giant inflatables, colour stations and bubbles. All those who take part receive a medal at the end.
For the first time, this year’s 3km course will take the shape of an actual rainbow.
The charity’s Head of Fundraising, Sally Hillyear, said:
“Rainbow Run has become a firm favourite in the Island’s summer events calendar and the winning combination of giant inflatables, rainbow paint, bubbles and sunshine always create the most amazing atmosphere.
“Since it started, Rainbow Run has raised more than £100,000 for Island families living with cancer and, this year, we need your support more than ever.
“Missed diagnoses and delays in cancer treatment due to COVID-19 mean we are experiencing an ever-increasing demand for our services and your support means we can continue to be there for more and more Islanders when they need us most.”
This year’s Rainbow Run is sponsored by ARID Design and Management Consultants and will also include entertainment, food vans and a licensed bar.
