The Isle of Wight Council’s Rights of Way team has had to block access to Brook Beach this afternoon (Thursday) due to land slippage.
The access ramp from the National Trust car park at Brook – part of Public Footpath BS103 – has been closed with immediate effect.
According to the council, the area is unsafe.

The council has raised our council tax, but these closed footpaths will likely remain shut so they can avoid paying maintenance for such. A closed sign and a barrier is far cheaper for them.
True true! Same as chale!!
Poor things having to leave the office in this weather.
You lot haven’t a clue what you are talking about , there is no quick fix to this problem and it’s a great deal of money that will be wasted just to do a temporary job.
