Isle of Wight-born skeleton athlete Kimberley Murray has been selected to represent her country in the women’s skeleton World Championship in Germany next week.
Just days after securing a top 10 finish in the European Championship in Sigulda, it has been confirmed that the 31-year-old from Binstead will be present at the Worlds in Altenberg, Germany on 28th/29th February.
This will be Kim’s first-ever World Championship and shows great progression in her career from the Europe Cup, to the Intercontinental Cup and on to the World Cup – and now the World Championship. It is all part of her journey to hopefully compete for Team GB at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Kim will take to the ice on Friday 28th February at 08:30 GMT for Heat 1 and 2 of the event. Should she progress to Heats 3 and 4 she will be back on track on Saturday 29th at 08:30 GMT.
