William the Station Master Bear is making all the rules at Teddy Bear Day at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on Saturday 15th October, and he has said that any child who brings along their teddy can travel on the railway for free.
The whole family can experience the joy of the Steam Railway; from taking in the Woodland Walk, watching the birds of prey during the two shows each day from Haven Falconry, discovering the Island’s railway history at Train Story, a fully interactive museum where if the carriage doors are open you can climb aboard and explore plus so much more.
The Railway’s General Manager Steve Backhouse said:
“Teddy Bear Day is proving a popular event with our younger visitors and it’s a great way of introducing them to the Steam Railway in a fun, family friendly day out” He continued “with everyone feeling the pinch of the rise in the cost of living at the moment this is a great day out that will cost less.”
