Keith Donnelly, a Geordie storytelling singer-songwriter, is coming to the Island and making an appearance at multiple events this October
On Sunday 16th October, he is entertaining children and families with stories and songs at Hullabaloo, and on Monday 17th, his show, Canny Uncanny Short Tall Tales at 19:30 at Ventnor Arts Club, is certain to bring a smile to many a person.
Self-described as a [Vauxhall] astral-traveller, shamen, Geordie-cultural-attache, word-juggler, snake-charmer, underline-dancer, unexpected clairvoyant, dream-weaver, daydream believer, Keith has written popular tales for both adults and kids.
The event at Ventnor Arts Club is being organised by The Island Storytellers, a group of adults from diverse backgrounds keen to keep alive and promote oral storytelling. They meet on a monthly basis with occasional extra events such as arranging visiting storytellers and running storytelling workshops.
One of the Island Storytellers, Sue Bailey, said;
“We are delighted Keith is able to visit the Island. An evening in his company is like a tonic for the soul. He is an accomplished guitarist, and a great wordsmith –funny and very entertaining. Bring a friend to this, you won’t regret it!”
