JOIN THE WIGHT STROLLERS FOR A JOURNEY ACROSS THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK

The Wight Strollers heading across the Australian Outback on a journey to the heart of fabulousness…and they’re inviting you all along for the ride from 6-8th July at Medina Theatre in Newport.

Priscilla: Queen of the Desert – The Musical is the heart-warming, uplifting adventure of 3 friends – Tick, Bernadette and Adam, an unlikely trio who team up to cross the desert on from Sydney to Alice Springs to deliver the show of a lifetime. They hop aboard a battered old bus – nicknamed Priscilla – and along the way they discover the power of dreams, love and friendship.

Vibrant, dynamic and exciting, this is a show packed with iconic musical numbers, including ‘It’s Raining Men’; ‘I Will Survive’; ‘Hot Stuff’; ‘Boogie Wonderland’; ‘Go West’; ‘True Colours’; ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’; ‘Colour My World’ and ‘I Love The Nightlife’.

With hundreds of dazzling costumes, each one designed and made in-house, a live 10-piece band and a cast jam-packed with local talent, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert – The Musical promises to be sassy, fun and fabulous from start to finish.

The proceeds from Priscilla: Queen of the Desert – The Musical will be donated to Wessex Cancer Trust IW, Breakout Youth and Break the Cycle CIC. The Wight Strollers will also be purchasing their eighth Public Access Defibrillator for the Island with the funds raised.

The company will also be performing as part of the IW Pride Takeover in the Electro Love Tent at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, at 22:00 on Saturday 23rd June, and you can also catch them in the parade and on the Main Stage at IW Pride on Saturday 21st July.
