They have won £1000 worth of free advertising – £500 on Visit Isle of Wight and £500 directly to WightKarting members, as well as an unlimited karting package.
Prices Garage came second with 111 laps completed, followed by PC Consultants with 109 laps and Social Heroes with 105 laps. Special thanks has been given to The Old Smithy, Lifeline Alarms and Isle of Wight Adventure Activities for taking part too.
Each year since Wight Karting opened, they’ve offered businesses of all sizes across the Island the chance to compete in a specially crafted challenge designed to test all elements of competitive karting: endurance, team work, driving skill and agility. During the well-deserved breaks, competitors enjoyed freshly prepared food from their American style La Babalu diner, and a range of drinks from their new, fully licensed bar.
Mark Lee, Managing Director at Lifeline Alarm Systems, said:
“The races are high quality, extremely well organised and great fun to be at. Some of our newer team members definitely got the bug and will be back again, as will we as a company.”
Cathy Foulkes, Owner at Wight Karting, said:
“What a brilliant race this year’s Business vs Business event was – one of the closest we’ve seen and an absolute joy for spectators.
“We always love doing this event, and other team building events throughout the year, because it always has such a wonderful atmosphere. We’re excited now to host lots of Island businesses during the festive season for our parties.
“A huge congratulation to John Cribb and Sons and the rest of the finalists, and with special thanks to all that took part this year.”
