Legendary hit maker Jimmy Osmond is heading to Shanklin Theatre later this year with his all-new ‘70s Jukebox Show’.
This action packed show includes nostalgic videos and stories of his superstar friends and includes a 7-piece band with a horn section, singers and dancers. It will include all the classics including Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, Elvis to The Jacksons and everything in-between, including of course, all The Osmonds hits such as ‘Love Me For A Reason’, ‘Crazy Horses’, ‘Let Me In’, ‘One Bad Apple’ and everyone’s favourite Number One ‘Long Haired Lover From Liverpool’.
Just a month before his fourth birthday the world was introduced to Jimmy Osmond by singing on the hugely popular Andy Williams Show. 50 years later, with 59 gold and platinum records and other prominent awards to their credit, the story of the Osmond family is epic in the annals of popular music which the fans just keep on enjoying.
Today, Jimmy has become an artist with many strings to his bow – businessman, actor, award-winning TV producer and a philanthropist. He’s also a record holder – his No 1 hit Long Haired Lover from Liverpool established Jimmy in the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest person ever to top the UK charts (staying in the chart for no less than 27 weeks) – a record he still holds to this day. He toured with Nancy Sinatra, Pat Boone and Andy Williams, starred in the Osmonds own TV show, performed for the Queen and at The White House.
Jimmy will be appearing at Shanklin Theatre on Tuesday 18th September. Tickets are available from the box office on 01983 868000 or at www.shanklintheatre.com.
