On Saturday 19th September at Ventnor Arts Club, inspired by the wit, romance and charm of Jane Austen’s writing, soprano Rosie Lomas and pianist Katarzyna Kowalic will present a fascinating programme of music in Regency society and Jane’s life and novels.
Literary Music is an inspirational group of young professional classical musicians performing programmes inspired by the lives and works of some of our best loved authors.
Rosie and Katarzyna will bring to life the music of literature; from the drawing rooms of the Regency era and fashionable concerts of Georgian Bath to the factories of the industrial Victorian cities, performing songs and arias of the period with quotations from the novels, historical background and entertaining anecdotes.
The evening of music and storytelling will be wonderful in the parlour-like setting of the club and a great chance to escape to and explore the past.
Tickets are available via www.ventnorartsclub.com and by phone 01983 857060.
