The National Landlords Association (NLA) is inviting landlords on the Isle of Wight to a forum on Wednesday 14th September, to learn about fire safety in rented properties.
The event will be the first of its kind on the Isle of Wight, and is organised by the NLA, Fike Safety Technology and Wight Fire and Safety.
Salvy Vittozzi, Manager and Application Specialist, Fike, will deliver a presentation on Fike’s new fire alarm system, TwinflexPro. The system is suitable for all types of property and could offer substantial savings on installation costs.
The meeting will also include presentations on a variety of topics, including:
• Upcoming changes to buy-to-let legislation – Liz Mackenzie, NLA Representative for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
• How to avoid common mistakes and traps – Richard Price, Director of Operations at the NLA
Liz Mackenzie, NLA Representative for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, said:
“Meetings such as this provide an excellent opportunity for landlords to keep up-to-date with legislation and good standards of practice.
“Landlords should make sure they educate themselves as to what is expected of them, legally and professionally, and with so many changes in the world of buy-to-let, keeping informed is a must for anyone working in the sector.
“As the first meeting of its kind, we hope this event proves both useful and informative for landlords in the area, whether they are experienced professionals looking to stay updated or newcomers in need of tips and advice”.
The event is free to attend and is open to both NLA members and non-members. The event will take place at The Riverside Centre, Newport.
NLA members interested in attending should book in advance via the NLA website.
Non-members of the NLA interested in attending are advised to contact NLA Representative Liz Mackenzie at [email protected] for more information.
