ISLE OF WIGHT TEACHERS TO GO HEAD-TO-HEAD IN CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH

Teachers from across the Island are coming together to play a charity football match to raise money for Sport Relief and The Wight Brainy Bunch. 

Primary school teachers will take on secondary school teachers at Cowes Sports Football Club on Tuesday 10th March – kick-off 18:30.

The teams comprise of teachers who play football at a range of standards including the Wessex Premier league and the Island league, or just keen leisure footballers.

Tom Dye, PE Teacher at Medina College, says:

“We are really pleased to have so many teachers across the island interested in playing. It will be a great match and we hope to see lots of people supporting on the evening.”

Gareth Bricknell, PE Teacher at The Bay CE School, adds:

“Students from both primary and secondary schools are very excited to cheer their teacher on, it will be a great event raising money for two great charities.”

The organisers would like to thank Cowes Sports Football Club for offering to host the charity match free of charge and allowing the game to be played on the best pitch on the Isle of Wight.

Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for under 16’s.
