Scott Jones again scored twice on Saturday (3rd December) as Wessex Premier League leaders Portchester defeated AFC Stoneham 3-2.
Isle of Wight striker Jones has now scored 6 goals in his 3 starts for AFC Portchester. He began his scoring spree with a double in a Portsmouth Senior Cup win against Hampshire Premier League Harvest. Last Saturday, Scott netted twice on his first Wessex start at Brockenhurst. He has now repeated the feat against Stoneham.
As well as bagging 2 goals himself, Jones also set up Marley Ridge to open the scoring.
Jones began the season with Newport IW after missing the first few weeks of the season due to being in America. Last season, he appeared for Cowes Sports. He has previously also played for (among others) Brading Town, Chichester City and Havant & Waterlooville.
Scott will be appearing on the Isle of Wight this Saturday (10th December) when Portchester take on Cowes at Westwood Park.
