Emellia, the Isle of Wight’s rising singer-songwriter, will be launching her third single ‘You’ on all major streaming platforms tomorrow (Friday).
This new single differentiates from her first 2 releases, bringing a much calmer element to electronic music. Although the genre still follows ‘commercial pop’, the electronic elements bring a swaying wave to the song, allowing the listener to be engulfed in calm insolence.
This single discusses heartbreak through pleasure, as Emellia – real name Emily Wild – taunts with the lyrical description of wanting something you cannot have. The tranquil nature of the track also describes the apathetic response to this.
Emellia says:
“It’s about staying happy throughout all situations, because there will never be a time that something is so bad an individual should not contain some kind of happiness”.
‘You’ will be released across all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, YouTube and more tomorrow (Friday 31st May).
