A leading Isle of Wight heart charity is bringing its much-loved carol concert to Cowes this Christmas.
Wessex Heartbeat will be hosting its popular Light Up a Heart evening at Cowes Baptist Church at 18:30 on Thursday 8th December, offering a memorable evening of music, celebration and reflection in the festive surroundings of the Victoria Road church.
With entertainment from the renowned Melodic Choir, guests will be encouraged to join in with some of the world’s most-loved Christmas hymns and songs, before being invited to dedicate a ‘Heart’, with a message to a loved one. Each heart will then be hung on the Christmas Tree.
The evening will end with mince pies and refreshments, with the opportunity to socialise and reflect on this special evening.

“Wessex Heartbeat’s Light Up a Heart event will be a wonderful evening of celebration: celebrating the work of Wessex Heartbeat, celebrating Christmas and celebrating our loved ones, those whom we have lost and those who are unwell. I am sure people will really appreciate this precious opportunity for reflection in a busy season.”
Wessex Heartbeat has supported families across the region for 30 years and has helped hundreds of families on the Isle of Wight, including 256 families since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
