England beach soccer goalkeeper Tommy Jackson – who lives in Newport – has made his 100th appearance in a Three Lions shirt.
Tommy appeared between the sticks on Wednesday (13th November) in an international tournament against hosts Saudi Arabia.
England won 4-1, with Brading Town’s Scott Lawson scoring for England.
2 further players with Isle of Wight connections are in the England Beach Soccer Squad playing in Saudi Arabia: Jake Younie and Tom O’Neil.
25-year-old Jackson first donned the England gloves aged 16. While on the Isle of Wight, Tommy plays centre back for Whitecroft & Barton Sports. He has previously appeared for Cowes Sports.

Tommy Jackson told Island Echo:
“I’m proud to make my 100th appearance in a Three Lions shirt and to get the win over Saudi Arabia.
“Without my team mates, support back home and sponsorships no of this would be possible.
“On to the next 100 caps.”
