Whitecroft & Barton Sports have had their lead at the top of Isle of Wight Division 1 cut to 3 points after drawing at home to Vectis.
A goalkeeping error led to the 1st Vectis goal, scored by Ryan Gregory in the 13th minute (0-1). Coner Lyon then equalised for W&B 4 minutes later (1-1), and the scores remained level until the half time break.
In the 2nd half, Sam Yelland put W&B into the lead just after the hour mark (2-1). 10 minutes before the full time whistle, Vectis were awarded a penalty for handball when the ball deflected off a leg onto a hand. The resulting penalty from Ryan Gregory was almost saved by W&B keeper Tommy Jackson but still hit the back of the net (2-2).
From the restart, Vectis took the lead almost straight away through a terrific shot which hit the bar, and the rebound was put in by Mason Wherry (2-3).
Vectis held their lead until the final kick of the game when a cross/shot was fumbled by the Vectis keeper, and Josh Appell put the ball in from a yard out (3-3).
