The main body of athletes have been selected to represent the Isle of Wight at next summers Island Games, due to be held in Orkney in July 2025.
The Isle of Wight Athletics team is as follows:
- Daniel Eckersley – 5000m, 10000m, Half Marathon (to be confirmed)
- Dave Hunt – Half Marathon
- Carly Scoble – Half Marathon
- Bethany Howarth – Half Marathon
- Ellen Williams – 5000m
- Amy Kelland – 5000m, 10000m
- Charlie Button – High Jump
- Jacob Patey – 110m and 400m Hurdles
- Noah Patey – 400m Hurdles
- Archie Pearson – 800m, 1500m
- Eddie Chambers – 800m
- Eden Canning – 100m Hurdles
- Sophie Hogton – 100m Hurdles, sprints
- Sophie McCallum – 100m
- Holly Whitter – Javelin / Team Masseuse
- Skyler Brown – Shot Put

Athletics team manager Nick Groocock has said:
“We are looking forward to leading this team of talented athletes. Cost and logistics have been difficult to manage and have had an impact upon some athletes being able to take up offers of team places.
“Both team managers (Nick Groocock and Nicola Canning) will be looking to gain support from local businesses to help.
