Cycle and skate enthusiasts are being invited to a skate park fun day in Ryde this weekend, organised by Hampshire Constabulary and Ryde Town Council.
To promote the use of the skating facilities at Quay Road in Ryde (behind Superbowl), local Police officers from Ryde Police Station have organised a fun day which will see Island companies Wight Trash and TAV Cycles give advice on cycle maintenance and head injury awareness and will be accompanied by a Graff demo, live music and hot food.
The event, which will run between 11:00 and 16:00 on Sunday (4th May), will also offer prizes for the best fancy dress costumes for the Star Wars-themed date of ‘May the 4th be with you’.
Entry to the skate park will be just £1 on Sunday and will provide a safe and enjoyable day out for all.
