On Sunday 14th August the first ever Rotary Family Fun Day will be held at Northwood County Show Ground, raising money for young people’s Charity Challenge & Adventure and Island Rotary.
Gates will open at 10:00 and the official opening will be at 11:00 by Joan Fry, Rotary Events Coordinator.
Entertainment includes live music from Afton; Dave B; Short & Sweet; Wight Ukers in the bar area and in the main arena the entertainment includes Vectis Corps of Drums; Lanestar School of Dance; White Falconry; Belly dancers; Wight Agility and children’s games.
As well as entertainment all day there will be a fun horse show; dog show; BBQ by Vectis Sunrise Rotary; classic car display and a car boot sale. Newport Youth football Club will be running a tournament as well, plus there will be many stalls including children’s craft activities; bouncy castles; ice-cream and lots of fun games.
The whole day is aimed at family entertainment. Entry is free with a small donation of £2 to park your car.
