Jane for Tea will play three nights at the Club, Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th December and if their sold out debut visit in June was anything to go by, they’ll be the most scorching hot tickets this season. The trio pack a punch with Jane’s powerful vocals and ukulele, Fonz’s rock steady bass and J-P’s vintage drum beats keeping the vibe jazzy, funky and retro with a quirky, French flavour.
The band was discovered by Ventnor Arts Club’s proprietors busking on the Croisette at the Cannes Film festival last year. They’d attracted a massive crowd and Jane’s powerful rendition of an Amy Winehouse song could be heard above the throng. Their repertoire includes self-penned numbers alongside a mix of old and new, French and English songs all given a unique Jane for Tea vintage treatment.
This Christmas in Ventnor locals will be treated to two lively sets each night which promise to get you moving from your toes upwards until you’re dancing round the lounge. A repeat of the spontaneous conga during the summer concert cannot be ruled out.
Tickets are on sale now. Buy them online at www.ventnorartsclub.com, by phone on 01983 857060 or in person at Ventnor Exchange. There will also be special pre-show supper deals at neighbouring restaurants, Fogg’s and Cantina.
