Investigations are underway to identify who may have dumped a commercial hotplate unit at a beauty spot in the South Wight.
The rusting industrial appliance was recovered from Whale Chine by local recovery agents Stag Lane Motors earlier this week. It had been in-situ for months.
Now, the Isle of Wight Council has publicly thanked Stag Lane Motors for their efforts in winching the dumped item up the cliff.
Amey has now collected the hotplate and it has been disposed of for free.
The Council say they are continuing to investigate this incident of fly tipping and will take the appropriate action once they’ve establish more details.
